The image above belongs to Hermelinda Herrera, a descendant of the ancient Mayan people, during one of our trips that we frequently make visiting pre-Columbian indigenous populations or their descendants in order to gather information regarding their customs and lifestyles, it was that we had the opportunity to meet this woman and interact with her family and the rest of the population in an area of ​​Guatemala, here we have been able to interact with the inhabitants of this area and share different aspects of their lifestyle, there was something that drew our attention to the family of this lady and it was the fact that in her family there were a large number of women, when we made reference to this striking situation it was that she shared with us the secret behind her particular family, Hermelinda made us participate in the technique they used to choose the gender of the children in her family, she told us that this procedure was transmitted to her through generations since ancient times, thanks to this woman we were able to access in detail regarding this methodology that thanks to her we have been able to share with the rest of the people who want a child of a certain gender.
